Environmental and Public Health Problems
Environmental and public health problems influenced the fall of the Roman Empire. During the Roman Empire, the rich had water sent to them by lead pipes. The death rate became very high because the water was not purified like what the aqueducts did. Even the Colosseum spread disease because of the many deaths. Some of the Roman citizens caught disease from the poor on the streets. Alcohol influenced the death rate too. Environmental and public health problems influenced the fall of the Roman Empire.
