 Political corruption greatly led to the fall of the Roman Empire. Frequent changes in leadership and assassinations made the Romans look weak and conquerable to enemies. In a fifty year period, there were twenty two emperors,  fifteen of which were assassinated. In addition to the murder of their leaders, the Romans had no organized system to choose new leaders, leading to wars over power.The Germanic tribes invading realized that the Romans had an unsteady leader(s).Political corruption led to the fall of Rome.
